MagsBC Recruits and Promotes at UBC’s Volunteer Fair!

As summer is soon approaching and students are looking for something worthwhile to do, MagsBC took this opportune time to attend UBC’s Volunteer Fair on March 15^th 2012. With a booth set up displaying member magazines for students to look and take home, MagsBC was able to increase its exposure to the general public.

Our mission was to encourage students to participate with the association by offering volunteer opportunities, in which students would put their best skills to the task. We also met with other non-profit organizations that were participating in the Volunteer Fair and made valuable contacts.

The Volunteer Fair also gave us the opportunity to distribute many member directories and gain newsletter subscribers. Overall, the fair was indeed a successful way to promote the association and recruit potential volunteers!
