Pacific Yachting is looking for a new Assistant Editor to join our team!
Currently based out of North Vancouver, the position will be primarily with Pacific Yachting and its associated websites, digital edition and supplementary publications, but will also have duties related to our sister publications at OP Publishing, Cottage and Canadian Aviator magazines.
The successful applicant will have excellent writing, editing, proofreading and organizational skills combined with natural editorial instincts and attention to detail. The position will involve editorial, administrative and promotional activities at events. Experience with video editing, photography, web content development and the Adobe Suite is an asset.
This is a full time position in a fast-paced publishing environment where everyone is expected to multitask on a wide variety of projects with tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
The applicant should have a university degree in an applicable field and/or equivalent professional editing, writing and proofreading experience.
Those with solid experience in boating and good knowledge of the B.C. and Pacific Northwest coast will be given priority
